A facial membership—sometimes called a skincare membership or facial subscription—is a monthly plan that provides regular corrective treatments at a fixed rate. Unlike buying facials one at a time, a monthly facial membership ensures consistency, which is how skin correction actually works.

At KIAMO SKIN, facial memberships start at $199 per month for a monthly HydraFacial in Mission Hills, San Diego—against $259 for the same treatment booked individually. The value is in the rhythm, not just the discount.

Your skin is slower than San Diego spas say it is

Almost every spa in San Diego will tell you skin renews on a 28-day cycle. The primary research does not say that. Reviewing the human data, epidermal turnover is estimated at 40 to 56 days, and a compartment-by-compartment recalculation of the same measurements puts it at 47 to 48 days. It slows further with age.

That single correction changes the entire arithmetic of booking facials.     What if I miss a month?

    The treatment rolls over and your membership stays active. Up to three can be banked at once — past that the point of a monthly rhythm is gone, and a plan you are three months behind on is a plan that is not working.

    What if I want something more advanced?

    Apply the value of your monthly treatment to any eligible advanced service and pay only the difference. A Procell series or an advanced peel can be run on a membership rather than instead of one.

    What if I cannot use it this month?

    Gift it 1x to one guest. They create a Vagaro account and book their own appointment. It is one guest per treatment, so it stays a gift rather than becoming a second membership.

    What if life gets in the way entirely?

    Memberships cannot be paused but may be canceled after the 6 month and restarted later, subject to current availability and pricing.

The commitment

Six months is four renewal cycles

Membership begins with a six-month commitment, and that is the part worth explaining rather than hiding.

At 40 to 56 days a cycle, six months is roughly four complete turnovers of the skin being treated. Three months is two — enough to change surface texture, rarely enough to move pigmentation or scarring, which are the two things most people arrive here for. A commitment shorter than the biology would be easier to sell and would set you up to conclude the treatment failed.

After six months the membership continues month to month and you may cancel your membership. I just need a 30 day notice before the next month to month cycle. Text or email.

Where is the studio, and is a monthly membership realistic if I do not live nearby?

Clients travel in monthly from North Park, Chula Vista, La Jolla, Pacific Beach and further up the coast, and the honest test is whether the drive is one you will still make in month five. If it is not, a treatment series booked at longer intervals is the better purchase, and that is a reasonable thing to say at the consultation.
What is a skincare membership?
